Tired Dogs  =  Happy Neighbors.

Why Tired Dogs = Happy Neighbors?

Dogs, like humans, are social animals.  When both of us get out for regular exercise and interaction with others outside of our immediate family, we become more well-adjusted.  With a lack of spaces to allow dogs and dog owners to socialize, you will have a city full of grumpy, pent-up dogs and dog owners, which are no fun to be around.

MORE LEASH-FREE AMENITIES WILL RESULT IN:

DOG PARK CALM-ASSERTIVE LEADERSHIP:
Dog park "regulars" informally police the park and model calm, assertive leadership.

REDUCED BAD BEHAVIOR BY OWNERS:  Dog park regulars exert peer pressure to socialize the dogs in the neighborhood.

LESS DOG-RELATED NUISANCES:
When dogs are tired, they bark less, escape less and generally "act out" less.

INCREASED MONITORING & LICENSING:
A municipality that builds a dog park can also monitor the park for licensing.

THE CHALLENGE:  Sacramento and its suburbs currently contain NO large recreational areas for owners to exercise with their off-leash dogs.
